Collection for Sale For Sale is one of the most important Pacific Northwest lithic collections assembled. The collection is the cumulative efforts of 50 years of collecting high quality pieces from the Columbia River drainage and Northern Great Basin. 100 frames and approximately 4600 authentic pieces. All are originally from well known old time collections gathered in the late 1800s to mid 1900s. Each frame is site specific, collector specific and comes with a legal disclosure statement. The points and blades displayed in the collection are the top 2% or 3% of the pieces that were in the original old time collections. In other words, these examples are the high graded pieces from some of the best collections that were available. This important collection could not be replaced at any price. The pieces are simply not available on an individual basis. The collection is offered for sale as a collection and will not be sold in part. Many of the pieces come with certificates of authenticity from the best authenticators. There are hundreds of pristine Columbia River Gem points. Over 80 pieces six inches long or longer. Every point type listed in Overstreet is in this collection including the six exceptionally rare Strong points. Many pieces have been pictured in various collector publications over the last 50 years including Whos Who in Indian Artifacts, Screenings, Overstreet and dozens of artifact books. The 100 frames are either original Ernie Cowles black wood frames made by Mr. Cowles and measuring 13 inches by 17 inches, or original black cases from the Gene Favell collection measuring 12 inches by 16 inches or locking oak cases measuring 12 inches by 18 inches. All pieces are pressure mounted and are not glued. FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE EMAIL OR CALL Randallm1@mindspring.com or 1-888-308-5327 days PST
